Important NACAA Annual Meeting Information

NACAA AM/PIC Registration Deadline Extended.

Due to some late developments we are extending the deadline for the NACAA AM/PIC registration to 31 May, 2005. We have some added excitement and news for those that wish to attend this wonderful conference and that information is outlined below. We encourage you to register either by mail, or on line via utilizing the www.nacaa.com registration site. Can't find your County Agent registration issue: Check out the host region website for all the details: http://buffalo2005.rutgers.edu/.

NACAA On-Line Registration

If you registered on-line for the upcoming NACAA AM/PIC and did not receive a separate
e-mail confirmation listing all of the items you signed up for (including tour choices, spouses activities, lodging - everything) - you may not be registered! If all you received via e-mail was a fee summary and a statement regarding written confirmations - your registration is incomplete and needs to be reentered. On this secure web-site if you entered information and "refreshed" the screen or "arrowed-back" to double check your data - it may have very well be deleted for what was sent to NACAA. Please double check your records to verify that you received a full description of your registration. Written confirmations for the AM/PIC will be in the mail by June 13, 2005.

Birds Eye CEO Dennis Mullen to be Keynote speaker on July 18th at the AM/PIC in Buffalo.

The Rochester, N.Y. based company, with sales of approximately $1.0 billion annually, processes fruits and vegetables in 14 facilities across the country. They provide familiar brands in the frozen aisle including Birds Eye, Birds Eye Voila!, Birds Eye Simply Grillin', Freshlike and McKenzie's. Other processed foods marketed by Birds Eye Foods include fillings and toppings (Comstock and Wilderness); chili and chili ingredients (Nalley and Brooks); salad dressings (Bernstein's and Nalley) and snacks (Tim's Foods and Snyder of Berlin). Birds Eye Foods also produces many of these products for the store brands, food service and industrial markets. Birds Eye is the processing and marketing arm of Pro-Fac one of the largest grower coops in the nation.

Birds Eye CEO Dennis Mullen has the practice of involving all of his employees at Birds Eye Foods in new product launches. This is a perfect example of a corporation learning to leverage its most valuable asset: its employees. Too often, companies overlook this valuable pool of knowledge and resources in their midst. By enlisting his employees in this fashion, Mullen accomplishes several things at once: He creates an informal sales force, gains insight into the company culture, builds employee trust and collects data about informal, internal networks.

A dynamic and sought after speaker he will deliver a message encompassing the core values of Birdseye. "The Power of Teamwork", About "Doing things Right", "Excellence in Performance", and "Commitment in Objectives".

Come prepared to enjoy his powerful message.

NACAA Dues Should be Paid by December 31 of Each Year

For years NACAA has accepted dues by March 15th to be considered an active member of NACAA for that year. During that whole time, dues actually should have been paid by December 31 for the upcoming year but it wasn't enforced. We are asking that dues be paid by Dec. 31st as we then can get the County Agent Special Edition and registration issue to all new members on time.
