There are several awards programs available for you to apply for and receive the recognition you deserve. Application due dates for most awards is March 15, 2006. The National Board is trying very hard to have funding in place for each of these award categories so that you as a member of NACAA can not only receive recognition, but receive a monetary award as well. Encourage your fellow members to apply and offer your assistance to newer members in completing the application.

NACAA Dues Should be Paid by December 31 of Each Year

For years NACAA has accepted dues by March 15th to be considered an active member of NACAA for that year. During that whole time, dues actually should have been paid by December 31 for the upcoming year but it wasn't enforced. We are asking that dues be paid by Dec. 31st as we then can get the County Agent Special Edition and registration issue to all new members on time.

Hurricane Katrina NASULGC Relief Fund Update:

NACAA Treasurer Chuck Schwartau reports that our members and a few friends (Master Gardener groups) contributed $26,784.71 to the relief fund. About 90 individuals sent checks that ranged from $25 to $250 (average was just pennies under $75 per individual contribution). The balance was funds from state associations. Thank you for your support of this relief effort.
