    AM/PIC Attendees Remember...!

We have a good group of members who will soon be on their way to Grand Rapids for the 92nd NACAA AM/PIC. The Michigan association has a great week planned and the early weather forecast looks great!!

    Pick up your Luncheon tickets

There is a virtual cornucopia of luncheons available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. A few are invitation only, but a majority of them are first come first serve. The only catch is that you'll need to pick up a ticket! So when you register, look right close by and there will be a table where you can pick up the luncheon tickets. There's really no reason that most members should have to buy a lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Pick up your tickets and enjoy a very educational lunch!!

    State Pictures

There are always some last minute changes to the state pictures schedule on Sunday and Monday nights. Pay attention to the bulletin boards and announcements for the final state picture schedule.

    Educational Foundation Scholarship Auction

Another exciting Scholarship Auction is scheduled for Tuesday at the AM/PIC - there will be several items to bid on in the Silent Auction as well as Live Auction. Here's information on a special hunt being auctioned - if you have interest and are not attending the meeting - make sure you send in your bid with someone who will be in attendance... you won't want to miss this exciting package.

    New NACAA Partner, New Opportunities!

Now more than ever, there is a need for people to reconnect to the agricultural roots of this nation. With the hustle and bustle of modern life, most people take little time to consider the role agriculture plays in their lives. To this end, Great American Agriculture will be the bridge to better understanding and appreciation for what the farmer provides to the quality of life in this country.

Great American Agriculture is a consumer magazine designed to connect the reader to farmers and their products like no other publication ever has. The magazine will discuss great food, great people and the important issues affecting the American food supply. Like an enormous farmers' market, fresh fruits and vegetables will be on display in the pages of Great American Agriculture, as well as grains and meats of all kinds... all the things that make our dinner tables a wonderful place to be.

The publisher and editors of Great American Agriculture are partnering with the NACAA and other organizations to include content from each state. The magazine will be published in four regional, bi-annual issues, providing two issues per year that will include your state. Each state section will include two pages of articles from our leading extension universities and officials to discuss the tremendous work being done in the agriculture industry on behalf of the American people. This is your opportunity to not only contribute content, but to purchase copies of the magazine to distribute in your county extension offices, as well as other key locations around your state.

For more information on how you can participate in this great opportunity, visit their website at www.greatamericanagriculture.com. Together we can bring the producers and consumers closer to each other... and that's good for everyone.

This is the kind of magazine that you can ask your doctor, dentist, banker, lawyer, etc. to put in their waiting rooms. This is a very high quality product and inexpensive. If you don't have some extra funds in your office, you may be able to find a local sponsor.

The folks from Great American Agriculture will be in Grand Rapids so you can visit with them, look at the magazine and place orders if you are interested. If you can't make it to Grand Rapids, be sure to visit their web site. I'm sure that you will find, as I have, that these are wonderful people with a great product that can help us tell the rest of America the great story of American agriculture!
