Abstract

This video appeared as a segment on South Carolina Educational Television’s (SC ETV) Making It Grow on April 26, 2016.  Making It Grow is a live production, produced by SC ETV and Clemson University, which showcases the people, places, and products of South Carolina.  The cast and crew travel all over South Carolina and neighboring states to capture the agricultural industry as well as natural resources and conservation measures in place to protect the evironment. Making It Grow’s viewing audience is approximately 200,000 from South Carolina and portions of neighboring states.

To film this segment, team Making It Grow traveled to Sierra Nevada in Mills River, Noth Carolina.  Extension Agent Terasa Lott interviewed Cheri Chastain, Sustainability Coordinator for Sierra Nevada.  The segment was aimed at showcasing Sierra Nevada's commitment to reducing their environmental impact, specifically the sustainability practices implemented at the Mills River, North Carolina location.
