\r\n

\r\n      Making It Grow! is a live, hour-long, weekly horticulture themed television production of South Carolina Educational Television. The host and producer/director are both Clemson Extension employees, with the host being a senior Extension Agent. In the past three years, the South Carolina Department of Agriculture South Carolina Certified/Specialty Foods Association has become a partner and underwriter of the program.

\r\n

\r\n      Research coming from South Carolina and regional studies indicates consumer interest in and demand for locally and sustainably produced fresh and value-added agricultural products has increased, coupled with unprecedented growth in niche market farming. Making It Grow! Is using its ties with the South Carolina Certified program and Clemson Extension agents and specialist to strengthen the public’s awareness of the benefits of buying fresh, locally produce and value-added products and the importance of agriculture to South Carolina’s financial well-being.
