Abstract & URL
This website serves as my primary, public-facing hub for delivering timely, research-based irrigation and soils information to my clientele including growers, PCAs/CCAs, irrigation managers, consultants, and stakeholders in Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced Counties. I manage the site’s content, structure, and maintenance to ensure clientele can quickly find practical decision-support resources, current funding opportunities, and concise updates from my applied research and extension projects.
To support on-farm irrigation scheduling and water-management decisions, the site consolidates vetted tools and references (e.g., ET reporting, CIMIS, CropManage, and satellite-based ET platforms) and links to drought-management guidance and microirrigation maintenance information. For soils and soil health, it provides direct access to foundational planning and assessment resources (e.g., soil survey tools, healthy soils references, nutrient-management guidance, and cover-crop resources). These sections are organized for rapid navigation and are updated as tools, program requirements, and guidance evolve.
A major function of the website is to translate project outcomes into usable products. I post workshop presentations, extension documents, and handbooks from my programs—such as the CDFA WETA Young Orchard Irrigation and Nutrient Management prpject—including multilingual materials to broaden accessibility. The site also functions as an update channel where my clientele can follow new findings, upcoming educational events, and newsletter-style articles that summarize seasonal issues and management recommendations.
I routinely review and refresh links, upload new materials after events and project milestones, and maintain consistent formatting and organization to improve usability and ensure the site remains a reliable, current reference point for irrigation and soils programming.
