Abstract
During the 2025 season, four peanut variety trials were conducted in Colquitt County. These locations were conducted in Hartsfield, at Moss Family Farms, Packer Park Farms, and the Sunbelt Ag Expo. The Colquitt County on Farm Trial included the following varieties: FloRun 52N, Arnie, DG 913, Georgia 21GR, Georgia 22MPR, Georgia 23RKN, Georgia 06G, and TifNV HG. At Moss Farms, the varieties evaluated were Arnie, Georgia 22MPR, Georgia 06G, and TifNV HG. The Packer Park trial consisted of Georgia 16HO, Georgia 21GR, Georgia 22MPR, TifNV HG, and Georgia 06G. At the Sunbelt Ag Expo site, the varieties planted were Georgia 06G, Georgia 21GR, and TifNV HG. All locations utilized a twin row planter and Thimet was applied at planting. Each variety was replicated 3 to 4 times depending on location. Information on stand counts, TWSV, and white mold was gathered at each location but is not reported. Hull scrape maturity method was used to determine when to dig and all plots were harvested with grower peanut combines and weighted with scales. In conclusion, TSWV and White Mold pressure was low at all locations. The Colquitt County location was the third straight in peanuts, while the Moss and Expo site had a three-year rotation. No significant differences in yield were noted at Sunbelt Expo, Colquitt County On-farm and Packer Park locations. There were significant differences in yield at the Moss Farm location. The Moss site experienced stand issues with Arnie and Georgia 22 MPR.
