Abstract
This presentation will focus on tips for writing in the Journal of Extension (JOE). There are specific article categories within JOE that align well with work that Extension agents and educators are already doing, making it easier to successfully publish their work. The presentation will provide them with a framework for writing and give them the confidence to move forward to sharing their work with others. A longer version of this presentation was provided to Tennessee Extension agents earlier this year and was evaluated. Following the presentation, 87% of respondents indicated an increase in their knowledge of writing and the structure of an article for publication. Also, 90% indicated an increase in their likelihood to set aside time for writing.
