Urban Agriculture Agent (ANR)
The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension is hiring a continuing eligible Assistant/Associate
Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent. This position will focus on providing research-based
education and assistance to small-scale and urban growers in Pima County, Arizona. Based in Tucson,
the agent will also collaborate with existing urban food systems work conducted at the Pima County
Cooperative Extension including The Garden Kitchen, and 4-H farm-focused youth workforce

Applicants must meet the minimum requirements below:
A Master’s Degree in plant sciences, horticulture, agriculture systems, food systems, or related
field.
Two years of applicable professional experience.
Experience managing or working with a volunteer program.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of working with diverse stakeholders and volunteers, self-confidence and
self-efficacy, good time management, good judgment, and sensitivity while working with peers
and community members alike.
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety
Policy.
Must be able to travel regionally and nationally.
Full time position
Salary: $57,000/$62,000
